The Inter Miami star is also aware of the comparisons and has made it clear he appreciates Yamalās talent. In an interview with ESPN, Messi called Yamal āimpressiveā and said he still has room to grow.
āHe is already a champion. You see him now and itās like he keeps growing and becoming a bit bolder. At first, it was like he had to pass the ball to someone else, to Lewandowski, for example. Thatās normal, heās still only 17, right? Heās in a process of growth too, and I think heās going to develop even more as a player and keep adding things to his game,ā he said.
āJust like I started, he also began playing on the right. Maybe in a few years, heāll end up playing differently too. But thereās no doubt he has incredible talent, and right now, heās already one of the best in the world,ā he added.
