AC Milan will finally return to UEFA Champions League soccer next season, after going through disappointing years being far from the Old Continent's ultimate prize. With their sights set on a challenging 2021/22 season, they reportedly have four Real Madrid players in mind to boost their squad.

The Rossoneri have secured a top-four finish in the Serie A for the first time since the 2012/13 campaign and they finally seem to be getting back on track. However, they'll need new signings to face the next Champions League and the domestic tournament successfully.

Stefano Pioli's side has begun the last Italian league brilliantly, but eventually, it came up short in the title race as Inter Milan's roster proved to be more powerful. Therefore, AC Milan would consider re-signing Brahim Díaz, whose loan is about to end, and swoop for three more Real Madrid players to strengthen their team, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Brahim Díaz

The 21-year-old attacking midfield has impressed in his loan spell at San Siro, where he got the playing minutes he wasn't granted at the Santiago Bernabeu. Brahim Díaz had four goals and four assists in 27 Serie A games, helping Milan to finish second, which is why the Italian club is eager to extend his stay.

According to reports, the Rossoneri might be close to reaching a new agreement with Real Madrid. They would acquire him on loan again, but with a buy-option of around $30 million. However, Los Blancos are unwilling to get rid of this young prospect so easily, which is why they would also include a buy-back clause in case they wish to give Díaz a new chance.

Alvaro Odriozola

The Spanish right-back ended up seeing first-team action in the final stretch of the La Liga 2020/21 campaign after being sidelined for a long time with a calf injury. Alvaro Odriozola earned a spot among Real Madrid's starting eleven, which is why AC Milan's intentions of landing him are a bit pretentious. Besides, they also have Diogo Dalot in his position. Still, the Italian newspaper has linked them with a possible move for Odriozola, who stepped up with Los Blancos.

Dani Ceballos

The 24-year-old midfield's future seems to be away from Real Madrid after spending the last two seasons on loan at Arsenal. Dani Ceballos has seen the field regularly under Mikel Arteta, but he doesn't seem to have room in the Merengues' lineup, with the likes of Luka ModricToni Kroos, and Casemiro ahead of him. However, Real Madrid wouldn't consider sending him on loan to the Gunners again, and they might demand a transfer fee. With Hakan Çalhanoğlu's departure, Ceballos could be the right man to fill his vacancy in Milan.

Luka Jovic

The Serbia international has to return to Madrid after spending the second half of last season at Eintracht Frankfurt on loan. Unless Carlo Ancelotti decides to consider him, Luka Jovic's time with Real Madrid could be over soon after having very few chances with the first team. Milan would evaluate adding more depth to their No. 9 options as Zlatan Ibrahimovic is currently injured, leaving Mario Mandzukic and Rafael Leao as the only two outright strikers in the squad.
