Even though they’ve endured quite a tough season, the expectations and hopes were high hope when Inter Miami CF announced the signing of Argentine superstar Gonzalo ‘Pipita’ Higuaín to solve their goal-scoring woes.

Pipita Higuaín’s debut was far from stellar, as the former Juventus striker missed a penalty and almost went into it with Philadelphia Union. On top of that, his side fell 3-0 at the City of Brotherly Love.

Then, he showed glimpses of what he’s capable of by handing out an assist to Lewis Morgan, and eve though Inter Miami still lost 2-3 to New York City FC at home, it was pretty clear that the team’s offense was far more fluid with the Argentine at the center of the box.

Pipita’s goal ended up giving The Herrons a much-needed win after a tough debut season in USA’s top-flight tournament. Thus far, they’ve only scored 16 goals through 16 fixtures but a world-class striker like Higuaín is going to make sure that number goes way up in no time, that’s for sure.
