The Lakers have brought in several big-name players, but their ages havebeen seen as an issue for a number of NBA fans. Dwight Howard, Trevor Ariza, Wayne Ellington, Kent Bazemore, and Melo are all talented players butprobably going throughthe final stages of their careers.

Caremelo Anthony is 37 years old so his one-year contract with Los Angeles makes sense. Depending on how valuable he proves to be for the team this season he might receive an extension, but there’s still a long way to go before that.
