The Dallas Cowboys are less than two weeks away from their first game of the 2025 regular season against the Philadelphia Eagles. It will be a massive challenge on the road, considering that the defending Super Bowl champions are favored by seven points.
On offense, everything seems to be under control with a unit led by stars like Dak Prescott, George Pickens, and CeeDee Lamb. If the running game performs well, this could be a big year for the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL.
The big problem is undoubtedly on defense. Micah Parsons could sit out the game in Philadelphia due to his contract dispute with Jerry Jones and, in a big headache for Brian Schottenheimer, another key player would be out due to injury.
Who could be out for Cowboys against Eagles?
Trevon Diggs could miss the game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles as he has not yet fully recovered from the knee injury he suffered last year.
The star cornerback hasn’t participated in any preseason games and didn’t practice at all during the Cowboys’ training camp in Oxnard. This was his response when asked by Todd Archer if he would play in Week 1.
“Maybe, maybe not. I think it’s a mutual decision (with the medical staff and the coaching staff). If they see something that I don’t see or if I feel something that they don’t know that I feel, it’s going to be that. It’s just about communicating and going out there and seeing what I can do. I want to practice a lot. I want to get as much practice as possible. I haven’t practiced in a while. So, I feel practice will tell a lot more where I am. I feel way better than I should feel. I’m very hungry. I’m itching to get back out on the field. I can’t wait.”
