Terron Armstead may be retired from the NFL, but he knows the Dolphins organization from the inside. This means he has details no one else does about the well-known relationship between Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill, which has always drawn a lot of attention.
Due to Tyreek‘s unique personality, there has been much discussion about possible friction between the two, but it appears everything is fine. At least, that’s what Armstead’s testimony suggests. According to him, the two players still get along very well.
“Terron Armstead says there’s ‘nothing to see’ in terms of the relationship between Tua and Tyreek. Said they’re absolutely fine, hanging out a lot. Lot of dinners, card games,” Simon Clancy reported on X.
Tyreek Had Already Addressed the Situation
It’s worth noting that in early August, Tyreek Hill had already provided some clarity on his relationship with Tua Tagovailoa. He stated that he was making an effort to be better, not just as a player but also alongside his quarterback.
“He’s obviously the leader of our team so he sets the standard, so I’m just trying to be the best teammate, best version of myself I can be,” was part of Tyreek’s message during the first week of August, following comments from Tagovailoa where he asked for Tyreek to be “held accountable.”
Both Players Need Each Other
The experience of both players is more than key for the Dolphins. Tyreek is already considered a veteran, and Tagovailoa’s experience as a quarterback is more than enough to take advantage of everything the “Cheetah” brings to the field.
