Everything indicates that Lionel Messi will sign for PSG in the next few days. The Argentinian said goodbye to Barcelona in an emotional press conference and he admitted that the Parisian club was among the options for his future.

Reports from press all over the world are already imagining what jersey’s number will he use or affirming that his presentation with PSG will be at Eiffel Tower. PSG head coach, Mauricio Pochettino, admitted that the club “obviously” knew about Messi’s situation but they were still “evaluating” scenarios.

PSG brought some competition to Keylor Navas. Gianluigi Donnarumma joined from AC Milan on July 14. The 22 year-old goalkeeper just won the Euro 2020 with Italy being fundamental for the title. Now, he will try to gain a spot in the regular XI.

Sergio Ramos just left Real Madrid as a free agent after 16 years in the club. At 35 years old, the Spanish centre-back is ready for a new challenge in France. Since his announcement as a new PSG player for the next two seasons, fans have expected his debut but he’s been suffering from calf problems.

Achraf Hakimi

This 22 year-old right back already debuted with PSG in the League 1 and scored a goal against Troyes. He is one of the stars for this next season, as he will also have an important role in the attack. He joined from Inter Milan for 60 million euros on July 6.

Georginio Wijnaldum

Georginio Wijnaldum, 30 years old, was one of the most coveted players in the market. The Dutch midfielder left Liverpool to try luck in Paris, despite being in Barcelona’s radar. He had a difficult time last season but he’s ready for a fresh start.

Danilo Pereira

Danilo Pereira was loaned to PSG last October from Porto FC and the club has used its purchase option for the defensive midfielder. The 29 year-old had a good performance last season, especially thanks to his versatility on the pitch.

While PSG have purchased many players, they also are giving opportunities to the young talent at the club. Xavi Simons is, perhaps, one of the most famous faces from the U-19 team. The ex Barcelona player (central midfielder) is now part of the first team, as well as El Chadaille Bitshiabu (centre-back), Edouard Michut (midfielder) and Ismaël Gharbi (midfielder). Also, Arnaud Kalimuendo (forward) and Junior Dina Ebimbe (midfielder) has returned from loans.
