We’re getting to the most exciting point of the 2020 MLS season right now. Twenty-one weeks are already on the books, and there’s not much room for error anymore. Especially for those teams who want to crack a spot at the top of the table.
Columbus Crew couldn’t make the most of Toronto FC‘s loss to New York City FC and dropped the ball again with a0-1 road loss to DC United, while Philadelphia Union kept their foot on the gas to beat Chicago Fire 2-1 and stay at the top of the table.
Sporting Kansas City grabbed a close 0-1 road win over FC Cincinnati to lead the Western Conference table, but Seattle Sounders still have one game in hand and could take the first spot in no time.
LAFC clinched a playoff spot with a solid effort vs. Houston Dynamo, while Portland Timbers crushed LA Galaxy 5-2 and Guillermo Barros Schelotto is on the hot seat with his team sitting at the bottom of the west.
