Copa America 2021 has been what the soccer world was expecting and it has delivered three weeks of exciting matches and it concluded with a memorable final between Argentina and Brazil at the iconic Maracana Stadium in Río de Janeiro. With the 47th edition of the Conmebol tournament already over, fans are already looking forward to the next Copa America.

Brazil had the pleasure of hosting the continental competition for two straight editions, but the venue for the next contest will probably be held in a different country, as it usually happens.

In Copa America 2021 the pandemic situation saw Australia and Qatar withdrawing from their invitations, but the next edition of the South American tournament could see guest teams again. Find out whenthe next Copa America willtake place and who could host it.

Copa America: Year and host for the next edition

Conmebol and UEFA reached an agreement to held their flagship competitions in the same years, which is why the next Copa America will take place in 2024. However, there’s no host confirmed for the competition yet.

Ecuador has had the hosting rights but thereweremomentarily removed. However, it’s still a candidate to host the tournament. It’s been a long time since the Copa America took place in that country, being the 1993 edition the last edition to be played there.

Meanwhile, Peru and Bolivia are reportedly the other two possible options to hostthe next Copa America in 2024. Still, Argentina and Colombia could be also consideredas they were originally co-hosting the 2021 edition but were finally removed due to the Covid-19 situation.
