The MLS regular season finally came to an end and we are all waiting for the beginning of the Playoffs. However, we will be able to watch the Major League Soccer playersin the coming days but with different jerseys, as many of them were called up totheir respective national teams for the 2022 FIFA World Cup South American qualifiers Matchdays 3 and 4.

There will be 20 players from Major League Soccer teams playing in the next rounds of CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying matches. These players were selected from 12 different MLS franchises, with the LAFC being the team with the most players called up.

After the first two rounds of the 2022 FIFA World Cup South American qualifiers, Argentina and Brazil share the top of the standings with six points each, as they both clinched victories in Matchdays 1 and 2. Neither of these two national teams have MLS players in their squads for the next two matches, but you will find many on the other teams.
