The Duke Blue Devils are the best team in the nation right now. Thatâs not much of a surprise, considering that they also have the best player in all of college basketball.
Even if he doesnât play another minute for Jon Scheyerâs team, Cooper Flagg has already established himself as the consensus first-overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
His size and ability to score at all three levels of the court make him a deadly matchup. However, per Jonathan Wasserman of Bleacher Report, his defensive prowess and passing skills remind him of Kevin Garnett.
Expert compares Cooper Flagg to Kevin Garnett
âThis would be a Kevin Garnett-type impact player, although there are some differences stylistically, with Flagg displaying more traditional wing creation skill. Like Garnett, though, Flagg mixes power forward size with ball-handling and passing. He has also been a highly efficient post scorer at Duke, as well as an encouraging mid-range shooter,â Wasserman wrote.

Kevin Garnett #21 of the Minnesota Timberwolves
