The Rutgers Scarlet Knights were one of the most, if not the most, disappointing teams in all of college basketball last season. They failed to make the most out of their talented star duo.

Now, both Dylan Harper and Ace Bailey are going to take their talents to the pros. They’re both expected to be taken in the top five and be two of the young faces of the NBA.

With that in mind, Isaac Condra of Sports Illustrated dug deep into the tape, and he shared his thoughts on the best potential fit for Harper at the next level: The Washington Wizards.

Dylan Harper can save the Washington Wizards

ā€œThere are a lot of teams where Harper fits very well, but the team that pops the most is the Washington Wizards,ā€ wrote Condra. ā€œAdding an elite on-ball creator like Harper to the mix would be incredible for their future. The 6-foot-6 lead guard has the ability to get consistent paint touches, create his own shot and his vision is impressive. He does a great job of finding the open teammates out of the pick and roll or in the open floor which is why it’s easy to envision him and Sarr playing extremely well together.ā€

The Wizards had the second-worst record in the NBA this season. They’re projected to have a top-three selection, and if they don’t get the first-overall pick, Harper should be in play there.

If they get the first selection, they can roll with Cooper Flagg. If that’s not the case, other high-end prospects like Bailey or VJ Edgecombe could also come in handily.
