LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have been on a mission since day one. Long before Kobe Bryant’s physical disappearance, they were already 100% focused on winning the NBA championship this season, and ever since the Black Mamba hasn’t been around us, that motivation and drive have only gone stronger.

James and the Lakers have been working non-stop since the restart of the season with nothing but a trip to the Finals in mind. They had a couple of setbacks vs. the Portland Trail Blazers and Houston Rockets but rallied to win 4 straight each time.

Now, the Lakers are set to face a resilient Denver Nuggets team in the Western Conference Finals and even though they’re a solid team, everybody thought we were poised for a ‘Battle of LA’ between Lakers andLos AngelesClippers.

LeBron James Doesn’t Want To Hear About Kawhi Leonard Or The Clippers

Nevertheless, James and the Lakers don’t want to hear anything about the Los Angeles Clippers. When asked about whether the team was settling after knowing they didn’t have to face Kawhi Leonard and company, the King gave a pretty straight-forward response:

“Nah. What were we settling?” James said. “I really don’t have a comment about it. I was just sitting back and watching the game from a fan’s perspective, watched big shots be made, big plays be made, missed shots, things of that nature, but also I was a scout. Scouting both teams at the same team. I was trying to get as many log-in minutes for myself scouting both teams at the same time because we knew Game 7 would decide who we’d play. That was kind of my mindset,” James added.

Obviously, we were all looking forward to a James-Leonard matchup in the WCF but the Lakers should be wary of being too confident ahead of their clash with the Nuggets, a team with nothing to lose, a lot of talent, and a determination to always give it all on the court.
