The Pittsburgh Steelers are still waiting for Aaron Rodgers’ response, as he already has the offer to join head coach Mike Tomlin‘s team for the 2025 NFL season. As the offseason days pass, patience is starting to wear thin for the black & gold franchise.

Omar Khan was clear in stating that the Steelers are evaluating various options in the draft, even assuring that they will bring four quarterbacks to training camp, implying that they will select at least one QB among their six picks.

However, it could be thought that the never-ending negotiation between the Steelers and Rodgers might alter or change Pittsburgh’s plans during such an important stage as the draft. Over the days, doubts have arisen about Tomlin’s planning, such as whether the black & gold franchise would select a quarterback or change course.

Rodgers alters Steelers’ draft plans?

“It does not,” was Tomlin’s three-word answer to the question during pre-draft press conference. The Steelers’ head coach’s response suggests that they can wait for A-Rod’s decision without altering their draft plans regarding the quarterbacks they may select.

When will Rodgers answer to the Steelers?

In Pittsburgh, the most asked question is when Rodgers will respond. No one knows for sure when the 41-year-old veteran will make his final decision, as retirement is even one of the possibilities he’s considering for his future. Tomlin, however, wants an answer before training camp.

“To be quite honest with you, I don’t know that I meant that specifically for him or the circumstance. I’m just saying, in general, you know, when you report to training camp, man, it’s a line of demarcation for development of a group individually and collectively,” Tomlin answered about Rodgers’ silence.
