Although the Minnesota Vikings informed Aaron Rodgers that they are not currently interested in signing him, a new report from Alec Lewis confirms that head coach Kevin OāConnell did actually consider the veteran as an option to compete with J.J. McCarthy.

However, in the end, the Super Bowl champion quarterback did not sign a contract with Minnesota, and now it seems that his only alternatives are the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Giants.

No. The Vikings will not be signing Aaron Rodgers in the near future, but according to multiple reports, the quarterback could wait as a free agent until August, thinking that J.J. McCarthy might fail in training camp or preseason.
Lewis mentioned that many people within the organization were convinced that Rodgers was ready to lead an offense with names like Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison.
