NFL News: Aaron Rodgers has reportedly made retirement decision before signing with Steelers

Aaron Rodgers has made up his mind about his NFL future. After weeks of speculation, the former Super Bowl champion has reportedly settled his retirement decision, clearing the way for a potential move to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Aaron Rodgers will be released by the Jets and now must decide his future. At the moment, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Giants are the main options, although some reports still do not rule out the Minnesota Vikings.

In free agency, Rodgers is the biggest name left on the market after Sam Darnold signed with the Seahawks, Geno Smith was traded to the Raiders, and Matthew Stafford extended his contract with the Rams.

Despite the availability of players like Russell Wilson, Joe Flacco, or Jameis Winston, there is no doubt that Aaron is the key piece that could turn any team into a Super Bowl contender.

Is Aaron Rodgers retiring?

No. Aaron Rodgers will not retire from football, according to a report from Albert Breer. The insider confirmed that during his exit meeting with the Jets, the quarterback stated that his desire is to keep playing.

“I think it really comes down to what Aaron Rodgers wants to do and considering all his options. Those options could include retirement and I wouldn’t completely rule that out, although he did tell the Jets in his exit meeting that he intends to play in 2025. Certainly, he wouldn’t be seeking his release from the Jets if it weren’t for having some desire to play. But I wouldn’t completely rule out retirement. I don’t think you can rule out anything.”
