The Florida Panthers didn’t waste any time celebrating their second straight Stanley Cup title, and neither did Sam Bennett when it came to addressing questions about his future. With free agency less than two weeks away, the Conn Smythe Trophy winner made his stance public — in front of a packed nightclub crowd in Miami.

During Thursday night’s championship party at E11EVEN, Bennett took the mic to deliver a resounding message to fans and teammates alike. The 29-year-old forward, who’s set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1, left little doubt about where he wants to play next season.

I ain’t (expletive) leaving! Bennett exclaimed, according to the Sun Sentinel, drawing cheers and chants of “Eight more years!” from those in attendance.

Bennett’s declaration comes on the heels of a dominant playoff run in which he scored 22 points in 23 games, playing a pivotal role in Florida’s title defense. Named postseason MVP, he now holds a unique place in Panthers history — and a prime position in the upcoming free agent market.
