The MLS took the victory in the long-awaited 2021 MLS All Star Game against Liga MX in the penalty kicks, after drawing 1-1 within the 90 minutes. Despite being a friendly, the match was intense between the two teams from the beginning. Ricardo Pepi, from FC Dallas, and Matt Turner were the heroes in the shootout. 

In the first half, Bob Bradley’s MLS team started the game dominating the possession of the ball and getting close to Guillermo Ochoa. However, Juan Reynoso’s side was the one who struck first thanks to a great goal by Jonathan “Cabecita” Rodriguez

MLS didn’t stay behind long, as they scored in the second half thanks to a header from José Murillo. The last minutes were all for the MLS team, especially with Ricardo Pepi, who could have scored the second. The long-awaited 2021 MLS All Star Game between the Major Leage Soccer and Liga MX will take place today, August 25 at the Banc of California Stadium. This will be the first time that MLS All Stars and Liga MX All Stars are going to compete against each other. From 2005 to 2019, the MLS played against a team from Europe. The current champions are Atletico de Madrid, after they won 3-0 in 2019. The Liga MX vs MLS game was supposed to be played last year, but it was postponed due to the pandemic.
