Barcelona's rebuilding process is far from being done yet. The Cules have taken many important decisions after last year's blow in the Champions League, but they weren't enough to take the club to the top again. Further additions are required, and landing a top striker seems to be a priority for the 2021/22 campaign. Harry Kane, who may be leaving Tottenham at the end of the season, is reportedly willing to lead their attack, but the Blaugranas handle other options, with a big name as their main target.

After an embarrassing 8-2 defeat against Bayern Munich in 2020, it became clear that the club had to face serious changes, starting with a squad reconstruction. Luis Suárez was among the players that had to look for a new place, and even though it seemed like the right moment for it, the club failed to find his replacement yet.

The current term didn't go as expected for Barca either, as once again they were unable to improve their European performance, being comfortably beaten by PSG in the Round of 16. Despite they still have a shot in the La Liga final weeks, Ronald Koeman's side needs an upgrade and, most importantly, a proven goalscorer

Since the Uruguayan left the Catalans and joined Atletico de Madrid, Barcelona sort of improvised at the moment of naming their starting striker. Ousmane Dembélé played mostly in that position, but he isn't an outright No. 9 at all.

According to Sport, Harry Kane would be keen to sign for Barcelona amid rumors of him wanting an exit from Spurs to fight for major trophies. However, the Spanish newspaper reported that the English hitman wouldn't meet the board's expectations and they are more interested in another big name instead

Erling Haaland is the man that almost every club wants right now, and Barca are no exception. The Borussia Dortmund goalscoring machine holds mind-blowing records only at his 20 years of age and is set to become a legendary striker.

Manchester City, Manchester United, and even Real Madrid have already been linked with the Norwegian sensation, and the Catalans are believed to see him as an ideal candidate as well. Needless to say, it wouldn't be easy, as BVB will probably have high demands to let their world-class figure go, and the competition to sign him would only make his price even more expensive.

Meanwhile, Sergio Aguero has already been in talks with the Cules as he runs out of contract with the Citizens in June, while Memphis Depay could finally arrive to satisfy Koeman's desire. Nonetheless, Barcelona are reportedly looking forward to bringing Haaland in, hoping to secure a top goalscorer who has a bright future ahead.
