Nearly two months ago, Cristiano Ronaldo and Al Nassr announced a contract extension that will keep the Portuguese star with the Saudi club through 2027. Following the deal, many fans have turned their attention to Lionel Messi and the length of his contract with Inter Miami.
Messi’s current deal with the MLS side, signed in July 2023, runs for two and a half years and expires at the end of the 2025 season. However, reports indicate the Argentine has already agreed in principle to an extension that would keep him in Miami until 2028.
The news was reported by journalist Xavi Campos on Catalunya Ràdio’s “Tot Costa,” who added that the agreement is expected to be finalized and made official soon.
As for Ronaldo, the Al Nassr captain secured a new two-year extension packed with financial incentives, bonuses, and exclusive privileges. The 40-year-old remains determined to capture his first trophy in Saudi Arabia under head coach Jorge Jesus, while continuing to serve as the face of the club’s ambitious project.
Messi’s numbers at Inter Miami
The Argentine joined Inter Miami from PSG in July 2023 and has played 71 matches across all competitions so far. He boasts impressive stats, scoring 59 goals and providing 29 assists, according to Transfermarkt.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s numbers at Al Nassr
The Portuguese superstar joined Al Nassr from Manchester United in December 2022 and has appeared in 106 matches so far. The former Real Madrid star has tallied an impressive 93 goals along with 20 assists for the Saudi club.
As for championships, Cristiano Ronaldo has yet to win an official title with Al Nassr. However, on Saturday, August 23, they will face Al Ahli Saudi FC in the Saudi Super Cup final, giving CR7 a chance to secure his first trophy in Saudi Arabia.
