Toronto FC vs New York Red Bulls: Storylines

Toronto FC will be forced to play without Jozy Altidore again, as the 30-year-old veteran will stay sidelined with a hamstring injury. However, it seems like they’ve done just fine with Alejandro Pozuelo leading the way.

Thus far, the Spaniard playmaker has already scored 7 goals to go along with 4 assists and is one of the leading candidates to win this year’s MVP, especially after Toronto FC took down Columbus Crew at the top of the table.

New York Red Bulls have been slightly better since parting ways with their coach and still have plenty of time left to make it to the top-5 of the Eastern Conference but that’ll be easier said than done considering their schedule.

Moreover, they’ll be forced to play without Alejandro Romero and Christian Cásseres Jr due to international duty, which will only put even more pressure in the offense for Daniel Royer and Tom Barlow.
