Robbie Williams and Laura Pausini team up for the FIFA anthem
Laura Pausini and Robbie Williams’ co-written song “Desire” played for the first time at the Hard Rock Stadium during the 2025 Club World Cup opening ceremony. This marks FIFA’s first-ever official anthem.

The song was produced by Karl Brazil and Owen Parker, with mixing by Richard Flack. It will accompany players as they enter the pitch at all FIFA-sanctioned events worldwide, including the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The lyrics and melody aim to capture the intensity, pride and unity that define soccer at its highest level. FIFA President Gianni Infantino described the anthem as “fantastic, incredible, emotional, and brilliant”.
