The midfielderhas already chosen to wear the No.18 jersey, but it will say ‘Thomas’, not ‘Partey’ on the back of his shirt. The journalists were interested in why Partey decided to make such a decision, i.e. not to wear his surname.

“I’ve seen that there are Parteys everywhere and even the photographer asked me why I don’t use Partey on my shirt. I said it’s because I started with Thomas and people are familiar with Thomas, so I need to go with Thomas,”he said in his first interview for Arsenal’s official website.
