Quinn Ewers was undoubtedly one of the most consistent quarterbacks in college football last season, making his jump to the NFL only a matter of time. Now officially a member of the Miami Dolphins, the former Texas Longhorns standout shared some advice with upcoming generations on how to build their own path.

While there’s no secret formula for success in this sport, certain attitudes and approaches to the game can either work in your favor or hold you back as an emerging professional player.

During a recent media appearance, Ewers addressed all young athletes aspiring to reach the NCAAF level, emphasizing that a key part of the journey is learning to embrace the process and showing up consistently.

“Just be present, especially if you’re in high school and you’re not receiving as much offers or whatever it is – coaches aren’t recognizing you as much,” the talented quarterback told On3.

He also added: “Just remain present and continue to be consistent. As long as you stay consistent, you’re going to end up where you want to be, at the end of the day. That’s just how it goes.“

Quinn Ewers’ personal experience

Although Ewers’ path from high school to college wasn’t filled with gratitude at every step, he understands that persistence was the key. Staying present throughout the journey was one of the most important factors in successfully making it to Texas.

“I was lucky enough to be a highly recruited guy, but I just tried to stay as consistent as I could as long as I could, which, at the end of the day, helped me a ton,” Ewers said.

He finally concluded: “That’s all it is about – remaining present and taking care of business and letting all the other stuff fall in line, because it will if you really put the work in.”
