Aaron Rodgers will sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to the latest report from Tom Pelissero. The information indicates that the only thing left to know is when it will be made official, but there’s no turning back. The quarterback will play for Mike Tomlin.

“Is it the week of minicamp? Is it the day after minicamp? Is it the week before training camp? Is it the day before training camp begins? Somewhere in that bandwidth, I believe. I don’t know this for a fact because we’re talking about the enigma of the NFL here, but, I anticipate Aaron Rodgers is going to end up committing to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers. It’s a matter of when, not if. It has not changed.”

For several weeks now, Rodgers has not given any update to the Steelers. However, the team has been operating as if the veteran is the missing piece to compete for the Super Bowl. There is no urgency, and they are willing to wait for him.

Who will be next Steelers starting quarterback?

Aaron Rodgers would be the next starting quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2025, and Pelissero is one of the most confident voices that this will be the outcome. For him, there’s no surprise that the star would choose to show up in August, simply because he doesn’t like all the earlier stages of preparation.

“We also know this about Aaron. He’s never liked offseason workouts. He’s never felt like those things were necessary here. I would say all signs continue to point right now to Aaron Rodgers being the Steelers quarterback in 2025.”
