Aaron Rodgers is hesitant to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers. According to a new report from Adam Schefter, the Minnesota Vikings are still on the veteran’s mind after being released by the Jets.

“I do think that he’s been waiting in the back of his mind for Minnesota. It just feels that way. Like, Pittsburgh has been interested all along. If you want to get that done, you could have gotten that done last week or the week before. So, clearly, you’re trying to get more information or deciding or waiting or whatever you’re doing. I don’t know. But the one place that he can play right now is Pittsburgh. That’s the one place he can go and sign. He can’t sign with Minnesota today. He can wait, but, it sounds like Pittsburgh is the logical landing spot right now.”

Considering this is his last chance to win a Super Bowl, Rodgers wants to consider all options. However, as the weeks go by, the only door that remains open is Pittsburgh.

Will Aaron Rodgers play football again?

Aaron Rodgers could consider retirement if he’s not completely convinced that the Steelers are Super Bowl contenders and the Vikings don’t make the call he’s been waiting for over the past few weeks.

At the moment, there are no other alternatives on the table. He either signs quickly with Pittsburgh or waits several months for the Vikings to evaluate J.J. McCarthy’s performance in training camp. That second option could ultimately leave him without a team.
