Aaron Rodgers signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers is a guaranteed move according to a report by Mike Florio. Although the decision may take a few weeks, the information indicates that the quarterback will play for Mike Tomlin.

“As one source in the general vicinity of those who would be in position to know said Sunday, it’s a ‘safe bet’ that quarterback Aaron Rodgers eventually will sign with the Steelers.”

Over the past few weeks, Rodgers explored pursuing a Super Bowl with the Minnesota Vikings, but that option now seems to be off the table. Therefore, between Pittsburgh and the New York Giants, the Steelers would have the advantage.

Is Aaron Rodgers a free agent?

Yes. Aaron Rodgers is a free agent, and that could cause the final decision to take several weeks. However, Florio is convinced that sooner or later, the announcement will be made confirming the quarterback as a new Steelers player.

“The ‘when’ remains to be seen. The ‘if’ is slowly becoming more clear. Regardless, the signs are pointing to Rodgers landing in Pittsburgh for 2025. Could it change? Yes. Again, it’s a ‘safe bet’ it won’t. It remains to be seen when the announcement will be made. If only there were an event coming up next month in Pittsburgh featuring the guy whose show Rodgers appears on every Tuesday during football season. Oh, wait. There is.”

The date Florio is referring to is April 9, when The Pat McAfee Show will host a special event in Pittsburgh. Maybe, although there is no official information, that could be a great stage for a historic announcement.
