Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers promised to thoroughly study the 2025 class ahead of the draft, trying to find the quarterback of the future. While they continue to wait on Aaron Rodgers, the front office keeps scheduling visits with young stars.
It has been confirmed that next week, it will be Kyle McCord from Syracuse’s turn. His name joins other talks with key players at the position, such as Shedeur Sanders, Jaxson Dart, and Tyler Shough.
Since Ben Roethlisberger’s retirement, the Steelers haven’t found the young quarterback who can take the torch and keep the franchise competing for a Super Bowl. 2025 looks like the year they’ll go all-in to find him.
Will the Steelers draft a quarterback?
Yes. According to multiple reports, the Steelers are going to try to select a quarterback in the 2025 draft. What remains unknown, of course, is in which round it will happen, since it all depends on how the board shapes up with players like Shedeur Sanders or Jaxson Dart.
If those names aren’t available in the first round, a second tier of quarterbacks will be on Pittsburgh’s radar starting in the third round. Among them: Jalen Milroe, Will Howard, Shough, and McCord.
