Despite general manager Joe Schoen’s statement that selecting a quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft is not an immediate priority, reality dictates otherwise.
The Giants are open to all possibilities with their No. 3 overall pick in the draft and do not want to waste the value of that selection. For this reason, although multiple positions are being evaluated, the New York franchise has scheduled workouts that reveal a clear interest in two quarterbacks with the potential to become stars.
The two quarterbacks who are wanted by the Giants
The Giants have made the decision to go after a quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft, considering quarterbacks Jalen Milroe (Alabama) and Tyler Shough (Louisville) as possible selections. Both players have been invited to private workouts, indicating the team’s clear interest.

On the other hand, Shough brings experience and stability, having played in several college programs and demonstrating solid mechanics. Wilson and Winston would be temporary options for the Giants
If the Giants select Milroe, Shough, or any other quarterback, it would signal that both Wilson and Winston are viewed as temporary options.
