Russell Wilson has had his first public reaction amid the Steelers’ interest in signing Aaron Rodgers. The former Seahawks quarterback reposted this message on his official Instagram account.
“Everyone wants to be a champion, until they taste the blood, sweat, and heartbreak it takes to get there. Winners aren’t made in victory: They’re built in the trenches of every loss. Keep rising.”
So far, the Pittsburgh Steelers have not confirmed who their starting quarterback will be in 2025, but several reports indicate that all of Mike Tomlin and Omar Khan’s interest is in signing Rodgers.
Will Steelers give Russell Wilson a contract extension?
Right now, there is no indication that the Steelers will offer Russell Wilson a contract extension. In fact, a report from the New York Post states that there haven’t even been any talks between both parties.
Therefore, considering that Rodgers is the Steelers’ priority, Wilson needs to hurry to find a team because there are very few spots available. The Giants and the Browns are his closest options.
