TheEuro2020is the 16thUEFA European Championship.It takes place every four yearsand isorganized by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). Thesoccercompetition was originally scheduled forJune 12toJuly 12, 2020. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the tournamentwas delayed for a wholeyear and has begunonJune 11and will end onJuly 11, 2021.
TheWembley Stadium in London is set to host the Semi-Finals and the Finalsince it has thehighest capacity of all of the stadiums. The Stadio Olimpico in Rome wasthe opening venue. The tournament was originally meant to have 13 host venues, but two of them werelater removed – Brussels, and Dublin. As a result, it is being held in11 cities in 11 differentcountries:Amsterdam, Baku, Bucharest, Budapest, Copenhagen, Glasgow, London, Munich, Rome, Seville, and Saint Petersburg.
TheUEFA European Championship 2020GroupStage ended on June 23, 2021, with teams like Turkey, Macedonia, Russia, Scotland, Poland, Hungary, Finland, and Slovakia eliminated from the tournament. After the break, on June 26, the countries will all embark on their final journey towards the 2020 UEFA Euro Trophy.

Euro 2020 Knockout Stage Bracket
Spain, who faceCroatia onMonday in Copenhagen,have the toughest road to becoming the Euro 2020champions. Should they win,they would come against either France or Switzerland.In the Quarter-Finals, the winner of theBelgium vs Portugal clash will then meet the winner of the Italyvs Austria matchup.
Sweden and Ukraine will face each other, aiming to go through and meet one of England or Germany. The Netherlands go against the Czech Republic, so the winner from that clash will set up a tie with either one of Wales or Denmark in the Quarter-Finals. Euro 2020 Knockout Stage Format
In the Knockout Stage, if a match is tied after 90 minutes ofplaying time, extra time (two periods of 15 minutes each) is played, with each side permitted to make a sixth replacement. If the score remains a draw after extra time, the match is decided by a penalty shoot-out.
