According to the BBC report, second to last place Istanbul Basaksehir is keen on bringing in the Colombian midfielder and pay a portion of his wages. Everton’s new manager Rafa Benítez is not completely sold on the Colombian and would prefer other options, so Everton seem okay to execute the deal.

James Rodríguez has experienced a sort of fall from grace after a stint at Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. His time at Everton has not lived up to expectations and he is currently off of the Colombian national team.

It is reported that the move can be executed if James Rodríguez accepts the loan, but just how much he would want to play for a near bottom of the table club in Turkey remains to be seen. James Rodríguez was the subject to a move to MLS last year and while that did not materialize it could still happen in the future.
