Argentina and Lionel Messi beat Iceland in their final international friendly 3-0, and they are now thinking about their 2026 World Cup debut against Algeria on June 16. Messi entered the field and La Albiceleste changed in every aspect, showing that they can be champions of the world again this year.

Iceland weren’t the rival that Argentina expected, as the team were actively evaluating new talent and testing tactical systems ahead of the 2030 World Cup qualifying cycle, but their lack of talent and the way they faced this game, left fans concerned about the challenges looming in the year to come.
