Mexico and Jamaica will face each other for the Final Round of the Concacaf World Cup Qualifying 2022 at Estadio Azteca. ‘El Tri’ will want to start their journey to Qatar 2022 with the right foot, especially after coming up short against the United States in the Gold Cup.

Eight Concacaf national teams will fight for three direct tickets to Qatar 2022 and one chance to be in a final play-off with a rival from either the AFC (Asia), Conmebol (South America) or Oceania. Mexico and Jamaica haven’t played each other since 2017 Gold Cup semifinals.

Mexico’s national team will host Jamaica at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on Thursday, September 2, 2021 for the first round of the World Cup 2022 Qualifying. The match will be played without fans due to the FIFA’s ban for anti-gay chants heard at Olympic qualifying matches last March in Mexico.
