The Los Angeles Lakers entered the 2025 NBA Summer League with a renewed focus following a lackluster 2024-25 season. Eager to bolster their bench strength for the upcoming season, the team see promise in Bronny James, who has emerged as a crucial performer in the tournament despite a challenging rookie year. LeBron James, a constant presence on the sidelines, passionately imparted his wisdom and advice to him.

LeBron James, following a smooth layup, could be heard urging his son Bronny, “More. More. Get downhill more.” Seizing the opportunity, he listened to his father’s advice and executed a powerful downhill drive, scoring in the fourth quarter. LeBron also advised him to take a shot rather than pass. Bronny showcased remarkable talent throughout his 24 minutes on the court, contributing a solid 14 points to the Lakers’ effort against New Orleans Pellicans.

Bronny James may not have put up eye-popping numbers, but his newfound confidence on the court stood out. Following a tumultuous rookie season, maintaining composure and focusing on his growth have emerged as top priorities. LeBron James even pointed to the career trajectory of a Boston Celtics star as a teaching moment for his children, emphasizing the importance of gradual development over immediate impact in the league.
