The Denver Nuggets and Nikola Jokic struggled in a lopsided Game 3 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers at the Intuit Dome. After two tightly contested games, the Clippers seized control of the series with a dominant performance. Following the game, Jokic spoke about the exceptional contributions of Kawhi Leonard throughout the series.

Leonard has been a crucial force for the Clippers on both ends of the court. The two-time NBA champion has delivered consistent performances, putting up 22, 39, and 21 points in the first three games against the Nuggets.

Despite his pivotal role, Leonard has faced criticism from fans due to his injury history, which limited him to just 38 games this season. Clippers fans also recall his absence in the 2024 playoffs, where the team fell to the Dallas Mavericks.

Amid this backdrop, Jokic had strong words of support for Leonard, emphasizing his greatness. “He’s not supposed to care what other people think about him. He’s a champion, he’s a special player. He’s definitely a unique player,” Jokic said postgame. “If I’m in his skin, I would definitely not give a damn”.
