The Green Bay Packers will host the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft, which will take place from Thursday to Saturday at Lambeau Field in Wisconsin. While there are several needs to address, star quarterback Jordan Love hopes to add new names to the roster in order to go further next season. In this context, it’s important to know how many picks the Pack will have.
A loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card Round ended the Packers’ hopes of advancing further in the 2024 NFL playoffs. On a positive note, Jordan Love solidified his role as the leader of Green Bay’s offense and looks to keep gaining experience as he works to cement his status as one of the league’s rising stars.
The Packers will have an opportunity in the draft to continue developing a young roster, with a focus on strengthening the defense and adding depth at wide receiver and along the offensive line. It will be interesting to see the franchise’s strategy when it comes to selecting prospects.
How many picks do Packers own this year?
The Packers will have eight selections in the 2025 NFL Draft, which will be held in Wisconsin. Green Bay doesn’t have many chances to land the most coveted young prospects, as they hold the 23rd overall pick in the first round. However, the franchise will have three opportunities to select within the first 87 picks.

Head coach Matt LaFleur of the Green Bay Packers looks on prior to a game against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field on November 17, 2024.
The Packers’ approach appears to focus on adding pieces that can complement their current core without the need for major rebuilding. Under the leadership of Matt LaFleur and with a front office committed to talent development, here is Green Bay’s draft order:
Round 1 – Pick 23
Round 2 – Pick 54
Round 3 – Pick 87
Round 4 – Pick 124
Round 5 – Pick 159
Round 6 – Pick 198
Round 7 – Pick 237 (from Steelers)
Round 7 – Pick 250 (compensatory selection)

Packers’ recent first-round picks
Among their early picks in recent years, the Packers have remained consistent in pursuing their goals. In last year’s draft, they held the 25th overall pick in the first round and selected offensive lineman Jordan Morgan from the University of Arizona.
In the past two years, two standout first-round picks for the Packers were edge rusher Lukas Van Ness, selected 13th overall out of the University of Iowa in 2023, and defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt, taken 28th overall in the 2022 draft from the University of Georgia.
