It’s funny how some times, teams and athletes just can’t seem to get past their own woes. Take Kirk Cousins as an example. He had lost 9 straight games on Monday Night Football, even vs. teams he would have beaten during a regular Sunday game.

Why are those games different from the others? I mean, yes, they’re nationally televised and they’re played at night. Other than that, they’re just another NFL regular-season contest and he should be as ready as ever – if not more for the extra day of rest.

However, he could never perform at the highest level during those primetime games, at least until he faced the struggling Chicago Bears on the road and finally put an end to his tough stretch on MNF.

The Minnesota Vikings got past the Bears with a 19-13 win on a game full of turnovers and erratic play, but Kirk did just enough to move the chains and keep his team in a position to pull off the win. Needless to say, Twitter had a lot to say about that.

The Minnesota Vikings have now won three games in a row. More impressively, all three wins were vs. divisional rivals and came after winning just one of their first six games of the season.

The Chicago Bears, on the other hand, dropped their fourth straight game after a surprising 5-1 start of the season and it’s pretty clear that they’re not going anywhere with Nick Foles, Mitch Trubisky, and Matt Nagy.

Minny’s recent surge has the NFC North wide open right now but Cousins will now have to beat othertough teams down the stretch if they want to make the playoffs, which will be easier said than done given his history vs. winning teams.
