The Tennessee Titans selected quarterback Cam Ward from the University of Miami with the first overall pick in the NFL Draft, securing one of the league’s future stars. Ward has already reacted to joining his new team.
After a disappointing season, the Titans finally got some good news. The Tennessee franchise ended the 2024 campaign with a dismal 3-14 record, finishing last in the AFC South. After dealing with major struggles, they now add a future star to lead the team’s offense.
Ward joins a quarterback room marked by inconsistency, with uneven performances from Will Levis and Mason Rudolph. In that context, the former Miami Hurricanes player broke his silence to express his emotions about playing for the Titans.
Ward’s message to the Titans
“I am excited for the opportunity the organization has blessed me with, and I’m ready to get to work with my teammates. I was hoping [the Titans] would pick me for real, especially when I got to learn more about coach [Brian] Callahan’s offense, the new General Manager Mr. Mike [Borgonzi] and President Mr. Chad [Brinker]. Miss Amy [Adams Strunk] is a great owner, and they have a great organization,” Ward said in an interview with team’s official website.

“They know they made the right choice in getting me. But at the end of the day, I am just trying to be with my teammates, have command of the huddle, and at the end of the day, try and win games, that is our main goal. It all worked out in the long run, and I am grateful for it,” Ward said.
