NFL News: Aaron Rodgers could reportedly have a huge reason to sign with Steelers soon

Aaron Rodgers might be closer to making his decision and the Pittsburgh Steelers could be his destination. According to reports, the veteran quarterback has a major reason to act quickly, as the team's 2025 schedule could offer the perfect stage for one final championship run.

Aaron Rodgers could have another very special motivation to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to a report from Adam Schefter. The 2025 schedule for Mike Tomlin’s team is practically set up as a revenge tour for the star quarterback.

“The schedule is tailor-made for Aaron Rodgers because it starts out Week 1, they play the New York Jets. So, Aaron Rodgers would get to go right up against his former team. Right away. And then, from there, he would have Week 2 against Seattle, a team that he’s played and had a lot of battles with. Week 4, Minnesota, the team that he could not land a job with, as much as he may or may not have tried to do that. Week 8, the Green Bay Packers. Wouldn’t that be interesting? Aaron Rodgers playing for the Steelers in Week 8 against the Packers. Week 12, the team he owns, at Chicago against the Bears. In Week 16 at the Lions, another team he’s battled.”

If the veteran wants to win another Super Bowl, the challenge wouldn’t be easy with the Steelers, as the final stretch of the schedule looks daunting, featuring two matchups against the Ravens, as well as games with the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, and Detroit Lions.

Has Aaron Rodgers signed with Steelers?

No. Aaron Rodgers hasn’t signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers yet, but according to multiple reports, that’s the quarterback’s only option. If he doesn’t, retirement could be looming. Schefter mentions that, considering the schedule, the veteran should want to make a deal as soon as possible.

“So, Aaron Rodgers, if he plays, gets a chance to go up against the Jets, Seahawks, Vikings, Packers, Bears, and Lions. What are we waiting for? Go get the deal done. Get into Steelers camp and get ready for the June mandatory minicamp and a schedule that is tailor-made for him.”
