Pittsburgh Steelers are still waiting the response from Aaron Rodgers to one-year contract offer for the 2025 NFL season. Many people es reacting to this off-season’s spin-off, but this time, a former Super Bowl champion with Mike Tomlin‘s team dropped a bold admission.
Players, executives, and former athletes have weighed in over the past few days on the A-Rod situation with the Steelers. The ongoing speculation has sparked a wide range of opinions, both for and against the Black & Gold franchise’s interest in the former Green Bay Packers quarterback.
In that context, Ryan Clark, the former Steelers safety who won the Super Bowl XLIII with Mike Tomlin’s team, made his voice heard. His opinion was clear and strong regarding whether or not Pittsburgh will be able to land Rodgers.
Clark’s harsh take on Steelers’ interest in Rodgers
“It makes me sick, to be honest. If unless Omar Khan has some sort of promise or lean on Aaron Rodgers, believing that he is going to come back and play football, and if he is going to play football, he is going to a Pittsburgh Steeler, I feel like this has been mishandled already… what has Aaron Rodgers done in the last two years since leaving Green Bay that says he should be afforded this type of time?,” Clark said, sharing his opinion on the Steelers’ pursuit of Rodgers during the offseason.

Clark is clearly pointing to Rodgers’ time with the New York Jets. A-Rod’s stint in the Big Apple hasn’t gone as planned, especially considering the Achilles injury that sidelined him during his first year. With the Green Team, the veteran quarterback played 18 games and recorded 28 touchdowns.
