The 2025 NFL offseason continues to move forward, and the San Francisco 49ers are looking to change the disastrous image left by last season, when Kyle Shanahan‘s team failed to make the playoffs. The return of Kyle Juszczyk to support the offense led by quarterback Brock Purdy is a positive development.

Juszczyk returned to the 49ers just days after the San Francisco franchise decided to cut him. The nine-time Pro Bowl selection rejoined Shanahan’s team on a two-year, $8 million deal. Former Baltimore Ravens player’s return was celebrated on social media by teammates such as running back Christian McCaffrey and tight end George Kittle.

A 33-year-old veteran has seen it all throughout his career. However, no matter how much water has passed under the bridge, Juszczyk still values the little moments upon his return to quarterback Purdy’s team and shared a heartfelt message on his Instagram account.

“Feels good to be home,” Juszczyk said, posting a photo of San Francisco’s Levi’s Stadium on social media. The message silences any potential rumors of resentment after a series of events that ultimately had a happy ending, with the veteran fullback back with the 49ers.

Juszczyk has played for the 49ers since 2017 and is heading into his ninth season in San Francisco. That partnership between the veteran and the franchise nearly came to an end during the past offseason before he agreed to a pay cut.
