āIn talking to sources about this situation, I donāt get the sense the Steelers are as concerned about their quarterback room as everyone else. First of all, they remain optimistic that Rodgers will sign and be their starter, and that heāll play better than he did last season for the Jets now that heās one year further removed from his 2023 Achilles injury.ā
The Steelers need a star quarterback to be Super Bowl contenders and thatās why fans and experts are wondering why theyāve agreed to wait so long, considering that Rodgers has publicly said heās not sure if heāll play next season due to issues with his inner circle.
Who will be Steelers starting quarterback?
Aaron Rodgers is the first option to be the starting quarterback for the Steelers, but Graziano has joined the voices confirming that, if that doesnāt happen, Tomlin is comfortable with Mason Rudolph as the possible leader of his offense.
āSecond of all, they like Rudolph and have fresh memories of him saving their 2023 season and leading them to the playoffs when 2022 first-round pick Kenny Pickett struggled. Itās an interesting strategy in a league in which teams tend to fall all over themselves to overspend and over-insure at the position.
