Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers continue to evaluate quarterback prospects ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft as they know that Aaron Rodgers could end up choosing retirement this offseason.
On Monday, Steelers insider Mark Kaboly reported that Kyle McCord is showing up at the teamâs facility as part of a pre-draft visit alongside cornerback Justin Walley and running back Jaydon Blue.
Tomlin and company have already hosted 27 prospects of this yearâs class, with the final three visits expected to come later in the week. Letâs keep in mind that the 2025 NFL Draft starts on Thursday, April 24.
While Rodgers remains the Steelersâ priority target, the 41-year-oldâs silence is forcing the team to make its due diligence ahead of the Draft. McCord now joins a list of possible candidates that includes many quarterbacks of his class.

While the Draft may be the easiest route to add a quarterback, the Steelers were also given an alternative to Rodgers with a proposed trade involving TJ Watt. Still, chances are that Tomlin prefers landing a young QB to develop. In the meantime, he counts on Mason Rudolph as an experienced player at the QB room.
