Aaron Rodgers still has not given an answer to the Pittsburgh Steelers. In this situation, Cam Heyward, who a few weeks ago publicly pressured the veteran to make a decision soon, has now changed his tone and is asking for patience. This was the message about the entire situation and any update on his podcast âNot Just Footballâ.
âI donât think we give enough patience to people. I think in this day and age with social media and everything, we kind of just expect an answer right there, right now. I donât know where this is going to end. I donât know if heâs ever going to be a Steeler. I donât know if heâs already a Steeler, but, I think, letâs just show some patience.â
Heyward has never won a Super Bowl in his career, just like other veterans such as T.J. Watt. Thatâs why the arrival of a great player like Rodgers could make the difference after the failures of recent years in the playoffs.
Will Aaron Rodgers sign with Steelers?
The owner of the Steelers, Art Rooney II, confirmed during the 2025 Draft that Aaron Rodgers wants to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers and that the team continues to receive the same signals regarding his intention to sign with them.
That could be one of the reasons to explain why Heyward suddenly changed his stance, considering that just a month ago, his call for Rodgers was clear and very controversial.

âI ainât doing that darkness retreat. I donât need any of that crap. Either you want to be a Pittsburgh Steeler or you donât. Itâs that simple. Thatâs the pitch. If you want me to recruit, thatâs the recruiting pitch. Pittsburgh Steelers. If you want to be part of it, so be it. If you donât, no skin off my back.â
