Aaron Rodgers will sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers according to a report by Mike Florio. That would be one of the main reasons explaining why Mike Tomlin and Omar Khan did not select Shedeur Sanders in the first round of the 2025 Draft.
“The Steelers are all in for Aaron Rodgers. I had somebody tell me recently that he’s going to announce after the draft that he’s going to Pittsburgh. It will happen. Not sure when, but it will happen.”
Despite all the rumors surrounding Sanders, the Steelers remain absolutely convinced that Rodgers is the key piece to pursue the Super Bowl next season. However, the big question is what will happen in the long term.
Who will be next Steelers starting quarterback?
Aaron Rodgers will be the next starting quarterback for the Steelers, according to what Florio mentioned. For this reason, in what could have been a consensus decision, Pittsburgh did not consider Sanders or Jaxson Dart in the first round.
“It’s impossible to keep something like that a secret. Aaron Rodgers to the Steelers, it will happen. That’s one of the reasons why they didn’t take Shedeur. They are on the Aaron Rodgers train.”
