Tua Tagovailoa sent a strong message to Tyreek Hill at the start of training camp. After the wide receiver said a few months ago that he wanted to leave the Miami Dolphins, earning the trust of the locker room wonāt be easy.
āWeāre still continuing to do that (rebuild the relationship), but, itās not just with me. Itās with a lot of the guys. Iām not the only one that heard that. You guys arenāt the only people that heard that. A lot of people that follow football, that follow the Miami Dolphins, that follow Tyreek and that are fans of his, everyone has seen that. So, when you say something like that, you donāt just come back from that with: āHey, my bad.ā You got to work that relationship up. You got to build everything up again. Itās still a work in progress. Not just for me, but for everybody.ā
In 2022, Hill left Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs after the Dolphins offered him more money in a historic four-year, $120 million extension. However, Miami was never able to become a true contender despite having an explosive offense.
