Aaron Rodgers is not the priority for the Minnesota Vikings. That was one of the main conclusions after the NFL owners’ annual meeting in Florida, according to a report by Ian Rapoport.
“J.J. McCarthy is the guy. Even if they don’t come out and say it, like, we know. I think you’d like him to earn it, but, I think it’ll probably happen. It sounds like last year, early part of training camp before the injury, he was really impressive anyway. So, it feels like J.J. is for sure to me. Hearing the comments of Vikings people seems to emphasize that even more.”
As a result, the only option for Rodgers at the moment is the Pittsburgh Steelers, who have publicly shown interest in the veteran. However, for unknown reasons, Aaron has yet to decide whether to accept that offer.
Did Aaron Rodgers sign with a team?
No. Aaron Rodgers has not signed with any team and does not seem to be in a hurry to do so. As a free agent, he has the privilege of waiting weeks or even months if he chooses.
A few weeks ago, Rodgers wanted to sign with the Rams, but that door closed with Matthew Stafford’s contract extension. Now, uncertainty surrounds the star as he considers the Steelers or the Vikings as options, although Minnesota is currently out of the race.
