Shedeur Sanders was not selected in the first round of the 2025 Draft despite all the rumors linking him to teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers, the New York Giants, and the Cleveland Browns. After a very disappointing night, the Colorado star sent a clear warning.
âWe all didnât expect this of course, but, I feel like with God anything is possible. Everythingâs possible. I donât feel that it just happened, you know, for no reason. All of this is, of course, fuel to the fire and, under no circumstances, we all know this shouldnât have happened. We understand that weâre on bigger and better things. Tomorrowâs our day. Weâre going to be happy regardless. Legendary.â
Now, it seems like the Steelers want to keep waiting for Aaron Rodgers as the key piece to win the Super Bowl and prioritized a major need in that first round with defensive tackle Derrick Harmon.
What team will draft Shedeur Sanders?
The Cleveland Browns have the first pick of the second round on Day 2, and that could be a possible destination for Shedeur Sanders. The Giants have already made their decision as they selected Jaxson Dart, which makes the situation much more complicated for Sanders.
As for the Steelers, Pittsburgh seems out of the race since they donât have a second-round pick. Another team that has been rumored to have interest is the New Orleans Saints, who have the 40th pick.
