With 12 weeks of the NFL regular season already in the books, itās pretty safe to state that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been slightly disappointing after signingTom Brady to a 2-year deal in the offseason.
The Bucs are 7-4 and it seems like they just donāt have what it takes to beat winning teams despite having one of the most overpowered offenses in the world. Moreover, the word around the league is that Brady and coach Bruce Arians just donāt get along.
Those rumors only got worst after Arians threw Brady under the bus yet again and Brady cut a press conference short when asked about the subject. Thatās why heās trying to clear the air and speak up on whatās really going on in the locker room.
Tom Brady Says Heās Got A Great Relationship With Bruce Arians
āIāve got a great relationship with B.A. (Bruce Arians), and we talk every day. Iāve got a lot of respect for him and how he runs the team and so forth,āBrady said on Westwood One radio when asked about the matter again.
Tom Brady Blames The Media For The Rumors Of His Feud With Bruce Arians
Obviously, that didnāt stop there, as the media has continued to make a huge story about his relationship with Bruce Arians, so Brady went on to turn the tables and blame the press for that narrative:
āAny time you lose games, a lot of people want to place blame, especially in the media, and they want to pit one player against another player, or a player against a coach and so forth. Thatās not been my style,ā Brady said, as quoted by the Tampa Bay Times.
āAnd I just think about it from a playerās standpoint. I always think about what I need to do better, and I certainly havenāt played to my level of expectation, and Iāve got to do a better job, and thatās what it comes down to for me,ā he added.
āWeāve put in a lot of work in over the last three or four months, and itās a production-based business,. So when you win, you get to deal with all the great questions and so forth, and when you lose, youāve got to deal with the questions of why youāre losing and whoās to blame for losing and all that. But when youāre on the outside, thatās just what you deal with. When youāre on the inside, we donāt think like that,ā the 43-year-old concluded.
Whether those statements are true or not is yet to be seen but what itās clear is that the Buccaneers arenāt going to reach their goals for the season if two of their most important characters arenāt on the same page.
